Dedicated to the memory of Eileen McEwan

This site is a tribute to Eileen McEwan. They are much loved and will always be remembered.

Eileen was married to Jim in 1963 at Erskine Church having met while they were leading Guides and Scouts.  Jim was in the RAF so the family travelled about and Stuart was born in Germany in 1964.  Stuart was only a few months old when Eileen was diagnosed with bone cancer and lost her leg as a result.  She was very proud that it was the Queen's Surgeon that performed the operation at RAF Northolt.  Jim sadly passed away 31 years ago.

Eileen was a life long membership of the Girl Guides and was very involved in the church, making a lot of good friends as a result.  Unfortunately, she lost her other leg about 15 years ago after a knee operation became infected.

These things never held her back from enjoying life to the full and taking part in activities.
